Mr. Mohamed Noor Bin Mohamed Yusofe aka Yusnor Ef

(Special Elected Director representing Malay music genre)

Mr Yusnor Ef is the founder of PERKAMUS and has held the position of President since PERKAMUS’ was formed in 1992. He is also the Chairman of Malay Music Development Committee, National Arts Council. Yusnor Ef was a teacher and an officer in the Ministry of Education for 43 years, alongside his passion as a lyricist since 1959, He has also written and published books based on the Malay music history, heritage and his personal experience with legendary artist, P. Ramlee.  His books include P. Ramlee Yang Saya Kenal, 7 Significant Composers, Dendang Temasek, Aku Dia & Lagu, Muzik Melayu Sejak 40an and Gemilang Filem Melayu. Yusnor Ef actively participates in activities in both Singapore and Malaysia such as seminars for universities, TV documentaries (Music and Film heritage and history) by Astro and RTM.
